A talk by Jeremy Prescott who served for 27 years as a British Army Officer in the infantry, reaching the position of Lieutenant Colonel. After leaving the army he became Chief Executive of a charity which supported rural communities in the East Midlands.

Jeremy's talk will cover the scale of the sacrificies in WW1 and WW2, the founding principals of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, the principal personalities involved in its evolution, stories behind some of the headstones and cemeteries and how those killed in recent conflicts are now commemorated.
