We welcome back Peter Liddle who is going to talk about The Archaeology of Leicester High Cross Development Thursday 9th January at 7.30pm in Upper Broughton Village Hall The High Cross site covers a large part of what has been central Leicester since Roman times. The pre-development archaeology uncovered remains of all periods of urban history, housing and commerce. For over 40 years Peter worked as an excavator, survey officer, museum curator, community archaeologist and Head of the Leicestershire County Archaeological Team. He is an entertaining and knowledgeable speaker and was awarded the MBE for services to community archaeology. So join us in the Village Hall for what promises to be an excellent evening.
