Buckminster has rows of identical cottages which give all the appearance of a typical ‘estate village’. It also contains the remains of the Hall which might have given work to the cottagers. The real reason for this appearance, which Pam Fisher has researched for her recently published book, comes as a complete surprise…….

Pam gave us a most interesting talk a couple of years ago about Lesser Known Sources for Local History which provided us with ideas and fresh sources of information to pursue. Many of which the History Group has used subsequently in their researches.
